Jananayagan Release Issue – Film Problem or Political Pressure?

By now, everyone knows there is a delay in releasing Jananayagan.

But here is the real question: is it about the movie itself, or about actor-turned-politician Vijay?

And in my view, this has nothing to do with the film.

This is completely about Vijay’s political entry.

What Normally Happens?

The censor board’s job is straightforward:

Watch the film

Suggest cuts if required

Production team makes changes

Film gets certified

What Happened For Jananayagan?

This time I feel the system has clearly been bent.

CBFC saw the movie

Gave cuts

Asked the makers to take UA

The editor and team resubmitted the corrected version

Then, suddenly, just five days before release, they say one member has objections and push the film to the Revising Committee.

And this, despite the makers submitting everything almost twenty days back.

For me, there is no normal reason for such a last-minute twist.

Why I Think This Is Happening?

To me, it is very obvious.

CBFC comes under the central government.

The delay feels like a planned move to put pressure on Vijay in politics.

I strongly believe they are dragging the release to try and force Vijay to join hands or cooperate with BJP.

Why BJP Wants Vijay and TVK?

In my Personal view, BJP has no real base in Tamil Nadu.

They do not have leaders people trust here and their vote share is weak.

If they join with TVK, they hope to gain seats and visibility.

That is why they are so desperate.

Where Things Stand Now?

The makers have gone to the Supreme Court.

CBFC has filed a caveat.

Top lawyer Tushar Mehta is appearing for them[ he will appear only for very important case] which clearly shows this is not a small issue anymore.

So I do not expect a quick solution.

My Conclusion:

My opinion is simple.

Even if they delay the movie, even if they push it to the last minute, Vijay is not going to join BJP.

He has already chosen his path.

Worst case, if theatres are blocked, the movie will go straight to OTT and still reach the people.

And honestly, the public will judge everything themselves.

Note: I'm not a fan of Politician Vijay! It's coming from ardent film buff and actor vijay fan!

Thanks,
